Stokes is an artist/songwriter/producer born and raised in the Blackhaven region of Memphis, TN. Growing up in the South, Stokes was heavily influenced by hip hop artist such as 8Ball, MJG, UGK, Outkast and many more. He also credits the city of Memphis for his ability to incorporate soul into his music. His music contains lyrics that paints pictures of the struggles and decisions faced by inner city youth across the globe. The “Soul Of Stokes” is all about music that enlightens, educates, empowers and entertains.
