Undiscovered Country (EAN 642738905457ISRC CH6540890414) is the very first track by Maze-ter, released under the Kaboooom Music Productions label. An uptempo, at times almost hypnotic minimal EDM track with trance elements, classical and celtic influences.

Track background and info:

Undiscovered Country came to life after finding an Irish friend with some Scottish roots. Although I have travelled much, I never visited Ireland or Scotland. The rich musical influences originating from these countries, inspired the soundfield and part of the composition of this track.

Since this track also marks the first release under the pseudonym “Maze-ter”, I found myself stepping into the undiscovered country of independent music releases, hence the title “Undiscovered Country”.

The composition seems at times almost hypnotic. I like tracks that “tell a story”, so it has an intro and ending. There are two “bridges” in the song. I imagined myself discovering the nature, culture and meeting new people. Then, enjoying a local drink or meal and thinking about all the new impressions. This is actually the first bridge. You could see yourself dreaming about this, perhaps in the sun, perhaps in a pub with raindrops tumbling down a window. Your dream and thoughts inspire you to go out again.

The new countryside offers so many new things. In the distance you are accompanied by a melody which almost echoes Celtic influences, though it seems contemporary. And just before your trip ends, there’s the second bridge. You can relax and think back about the new found friends, the richness of this country and it’s culture and people. Then, just before you “go home”, the song takes you once more up and away, almost like a highlight. Enjoy this wonderful trip to an Undiscovered Country…
