Propelled by the historic posse cut “I’m On 3.0,” which features everyone from Gary Clark Jr. to Snoop Dogg to G-Eazy to Tee Grizzley, Trae’s newest album taps some of music’s biggest names, with collaborations coming from Young Thug, Wyclef, and Post Malone, among many others. But the album is more than a compilation of big name guest spots; for Tha Truth Pt. 3, Trae gets intensely personal as he shares details about his life and the pain he has overcome to establish himself as a Houston OG. Of course his legendary status is cemented by the work he does in the community, such as his 10th annual Trae Daythat’s taking place the day after the album comes out, July 22nd. The initiative has been recognized by the city for years and is now being sponsored by McDonald’s.
