While he’s dropped a variety of heartfelt songs and videos, SonReal still has a penchant for dropping doofy visuals. Case in point: his latest for “Repo Man.”
Paying homage to the 1984 American sci-fi comedy film of the same name, Son and his partner wreak havoc across a desert in the middle of nowhere. “Everybody wants to tell someone to shut the f**k up at some point in their life,” SonReal said to Mass Appeal. “For me, it was when people tried putting me in a box. I can do any genre of music I want. This song is an anthem for anyone doing whatever they want to do.”
