Today is still a learning experience that I am willing to be taught. I can’t dwell on my past failures. I can only move forward and learn from my past mistakes as an artist and a person. She states; One of my favorite quotes is ” You can’t cry over spilled milk”. Lava Flame is truly one to keep an eye out for as she gives you an inside of her experiences with her struggles, love life, family life, accomplishments, failures, the good, the bad, the ugly, and the systemic problems within our inner city, our state, our country, and our global community.

Lava is by far new to the music scene. As a child she was influenced by her grandma who would tell her to sing and dance for all of their family members and family friends , hence she sang in multiple choirs as early as five years old. She would go on to do performances in school talent shows and school plays. It wasn’t long after that she set her sights on becoming a major artist as well as, “a lyrical inspiration” to the music industry. Lava wrote her first song at age 13, a song that had the entire neighborhood reciting it. In her young career, Lava was requested to perform at weddings, funerals, parties, festivals, block parties, and many showcases. She has brought an entire auditorium and neighborhood to tears with her meaningful song on the tragedies and violence of our inner city.

Lava would battle other artist in school in the cafeteria, gym room, and hallways.

Sometimes even for money. Some students would even cut class just to see Lava battle

others. Lava was known for free-styling so profoundly that people would say it sounds written. That’s tight.

Lava feels certain that music is her gift to the world. When asked her ultimate goal she replies, “I want to be able to touch the world with my music to help people through life problems. To advance this ultimate goal, Lava has enacted and watched, come to pass several life-changing milestones over the past few years, all quite different than her previous practices. All of which has helped her transform into a newly reformed independent and dedicated student of the hip-hop culture.

Today Lava understands that dedication is the key to life’s successes. She has been reinvented; mind, body, and soul and has bravely taken the journey from a struggling family of 12 brothers and sisters, growing up in a struggling home that at times had no lights, no gas, no water, and suffering from depression and leaving behind all of the negative baggage that it carried, When asked what was her motivation; Lava states that she had very low self-esteem because she had been told most of her life that she would fail at everything she tried do and that she would amount to nothing. “I want to be an inspiration to all who aspire to be more than what people expect of them. I want to be a inspiration for a positive change now and in the future. I want people to believe in themselves even when others don’t believe in them. I want to grow to be a better person, writer, and entertainer and take the necessary actions to see that these things manifest with in our communities. I believe in myself and I believe in our youth and music is a big influence that can help make that change.” Lava could very well be an instrument for a positive transition in the lives of the youth.

Lava Flame is the voice of a powerful influence and inspiration for a new direction in our culture. Unique, Talented, Creative, Confident, Gifted, Original, and Aggressive, this is one artist who will make a special and effective impact on the music industry. This artist has paved a new path and made a lane of her very own. Keep your eyes and ears open; this is surely one artist you won’t want to miss.
