Memphis’ own Key Glock hustles hard and in his new single, he makes it known that he puts in “Work.” Since the passing of his cousin, collaborator, and mentor Young Dolph, he’s been going harder than ever to make him proud. The new single is a mantra inspired by Glock ruminating on how the pain of losing Dolph motivates him to power through and elevate himself and everyone around him. Maneuvering through haunting vocal samples and crackling Tennessee trap percussion, courtesy of Paper Route Empire’s own Bandplay, Glock channels his grief into a somber, hard-hitting banger.

“Work” is the first single from Glock’s upcoming album Glockoma 2, dropping next Friday 2/24! Glock recently announced the project and shared the album cover on IG. You can tell by the cover art and the new Glockoma-themed billboards that he didn’t come to play. I’m excited for this one – it’s Glock’s first full-length project since his Top 10 Billboard 200 charting album Yellow Tape 2 and the sequel to Glock’s fan-favorite 2018 project Glockoma featuring some of his biggest hits, including the GOLD-certified bangers “Since 6ix” and “Gang Sh*t No Lame Sh*t.” With production from Bandplay, Hitkidd, and more, Glockoma 2 finds Glock honoring Dolph’s legacy and bolstering his own. Can’t wait to see him perform tracks from Glockoma 2 on his upcoming headlining tour with TiaCorine and PRE risers Kenny Muney and Jay Fizzle!
