Organized Noize on Discovering Outkast, Early Rap Style Similar to Souls of Mischief

Organized Noize spoke openly with VladTV about creating the modern-day Atlanta hip-hop scene in the 90’s, as they explain that before it was all about the “booty shaking” music popularized in Miami.

During the sit-down they also spoke about setting the standard in hip-hop for having live instruments being played on albums. Rico Wade revealed that they really tried things out on OutKast’s “Player’s Ball.” To hear more of the conversation, including working with OutKast, hit the above clip.

If you really want to hear organized noize, you have to listen to the Backbone, Cool Breeze, Goodie Mob and Witchdoctor albums. Some of their hardest beats, and some of the best in hip hop ever, are on those albums.

    Much luv to these guys.
