M City JR: The Perception of Detroit is Not That Different from the Reality



Detroit rapper M City JR here talks about his childhood and his city’s struggles. “There’s not too much difference between the perception of Detroit and the reality,” he says, “Whole entire communities are burned down and abandoned.” But M City is hopeful about Detroit’s future and goes on to talk about the city’s rich musical history and what initially drew him to music.
