About Parable Vs. Mac Soto
Mac Soto was born in Miami, Florida. He loves to sing. As a kid, he always loved music, learning multiple instruments and writing songs for talent shows. Later, his wanderlust got the best of him and he left his hometown for college, kicking off a whirlwind tour of professional life from Boston to New York to Oakland to Minneapolis (where he has stopped moving around for the time being). Wherever he went, his music came with him—Mac won several regional talent shows, and has performed at colleges,
music venues, and concert halls around the country. Throughout his journeys, he stayed rooted in the passionate beat and easygoing nature of his hometown. He had always looked for a way to bring his music back home, so teaming up with an old friend from around the way just made sense.
Parable grew up in Miami, Florida. He loves to rap. As a kid, he dominated major rap contests nationwide, getting over a million online views. Soon, he became a well-known artist both locally and beyond, releasing several projects and appearing on college radio and online press. He has toured nationwide and in Canada, performing and opening for artists like Curren$y, Madlib, and Method Man to name a few, and has performed at festivals such as SXSW, Rock The Bells, and the Vans Warped Tour. His previous releases have earned him praise from XXLMag.com, HipHopDX, The Miami New Times, and more. He always looks for talented and like-minded people to jam with, so teaming up with an old friend from afar just made sense.
Together, these Miami transplants are blending bright, appealing sounds with edgy wordplay, engaging choruses and upbeat melodies. It’s the right balance of rhythmic raps and smooth, soulful singing. Best of all, they’ve been able to create art together, despite always being hundreds-and certain times, thousands- of miles apart.
